Michalíková, Petra ; Řehák, Filip (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis follows up the area in the center of Náchod along the former textile factory Tepna, which is located at the transition between the historical center and the housing estate. The proposal is based on problem analysis and uses the potential, limits and quailities of the area. The concept is a new urban quarter with a residential block of buildings complemented by civic amenities and high-quality public spaces. The design preserves the existing building of the Bílá Tepna, for which a new functional use is proposed. The proposal is solved with respect to the character of the place, the connection to the surrounding buildings and the emphasis on the preference of pedestrian traffic over the automobile traffic.

The aim of the thesis is activate the territory, to revive the city center and to design the buildings in connection with the historical center and the chateau with a suitable functional structure, responding to the city's shortcomings. The proposal respects the character of the place trying to prefer pedestrian and cycling – pedestrian zones, cycling zones. The concept is based on the maximum use of built-up areas in the designed area and on the permeability of the entire area, the interconnection of three squares and the creation of a new public space. Furthermore, the concept responds to the historical city center and the chateau hill - views, perspective axes. Newly designed buildings are residential buildings with active parterres, administrative building for research and development, multi-purpose hall, retirement home, kindergarten, federal house and parking house. The Rehabilitation of the historical center and adjacent surroundings of Kyjov with a focus on the public space
Kratochvilová, Jana ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the construction and activation of the territory in connection with the historical center of Kyjov. Part of the proposal was to work with an existing urban brownfield and an extensive park, which accounts for almost half the area under consideration. The goal, as I set out in my work, is to activate the territory and design an urban sprawl with a suitable functional structure. The proposed design respects the context and character of the site in a modern and sustainable manner. The principles followed in my work are based on the current urban and city-forming rules. I have put an emphasis on the human scale, the priority of pedestrians over traffic, and especially the shortcomings and needs in the territory that arise from the analysis. The draft concept is based on the permeability and interconnection of the individual parts of the city, the insertion of a new public space and the completion of the city block. The new urban sprawl clearly defines the street, completes the boundaries and makes the most of the area on the released land. The newly designed buildings are residential and multi-functional houses with active parterres. Part of the proposal is the revitalization of the city park, which explores its hidden potential. The basic step is to remove obstacles in the permeability of the park and to highlight its strengths, such as the flowing river Kyjovka, healthy large trees and the size of the park itself.

Macholánová, Petra ; Obrtlík,, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with an urban study on the territory of Červený kopec, specifically in the part of the territory of Stráň. It is a locality stated as a brownfield Kohnova cihelna. The proposal aims to make the most of the potential of this site, which lies in its proximity to the city center, the neighborhood of the national natural monument, a significant area of greenery and the views that this place provides due to its topographic situation. A new city district is proposed on the area of 18 hectares, which would cover one of the "brownfield holes" on the map of the city of Brno and at the same time help against the outflow of population to the outskirts of the city and against the creation of urban satellites. Numerous public opinion polls show that they would like to live close to the city, but at the same time especially young families long for their own house in a quiet countryside location. Therefore, a compact development of terraced houses, terrace villas and blocks of flats with private courtyards is proposed here, complemented by quality public space and civic amenities. This new city district would offer housing for about 3,500 new residents.

Hlaváčková, Soňa ; Rudiš, Viktor (referee) ; Hybská, Bohumila (advisor)
The chosen solution is based on a significant element of the axis intersecting the studied area and allows for new possibilities and throughput bottlenecks as well as the needs of indigenous residents. The new structure is compact but permeable, is one of total serenity set into court. Buildings define its own square on which the park. Living rooms are oriented to this element, as generated by the spontaneous dvorcům compared to the other, where we are going gardens. Old and new buildings mainly divided foliage, to a greater extent original. Height was chosen so that does not diaphragm the existing development and that the occupant was still in touch with events in the street. Distance from the neighboring area is sufficient for satisfactory insolation. The appearance of buildings and facades in the treatment of natural materials give a greater sense of coziness.

This diploma thesis is focused on project of sustainable urban structure in Náměšť nad Oslavou. Specifically, in southeast area of the city between pond Rathan and dam Vícenický žleb. This urban-planning study endeavours to create a suitable structure for city area behind railways. There are relevant factors which influence the proposal, such as connection of the parcel to traffic network of the city and breaking down barrier of the railway. Other factors are slope of the terrain and significant nature and historical character of the city. The concept is based on perception of the city area behind the railway, as separated district of the city which must be connected to current structure. Conception of the area uses historical legacy of path. This path copy axis, which connects castle, statue on main historical square and Cristian cross on forest horizon in designed area. It is important to support natural character and genius loci of the whole city. The urban study emphasizes the effectivity of the land use, traffic connection, scale of the city, permeability of the new designed area, importance of pedestrian’s movement and cancelation of residential monofunction by creating of central public space. Analýza propustnosti krajiny pro zvěř na příkladu dvou pilotních oblastí v Rakousku
Jurečka, Mořic
The landscape of Central Europe is experiencing an increase in anthropogenic development and linear infrastructure. Landscape fragmentation has a number of negative environmental impacts. To mitigate the negative impacts, ecological corridors have been designed through GIS programmes. This paper focuses on the evaluation of the proposed ecological corridors and the analysis of potential impact factors in two pilot areas in Austria. Eighteen mammal species were recorded along the ecological corridors. The permeability of the areas in the pilot areas is problematic for large mammals. The work suggests that the degree of ecological stability and the presence of vegetation positively influence the number of mammal species on ecological corridors. Vegetation cover and other mitigation measures around the ecological corridors will be needed to ensure permanent permeability of the landscape.
